Just prior to 0300 hours, the CIty of Chester was dispatched to the Grape Leaves Diner, formally known as the Sunrise Diner, for the commercial building fire. Crews arrived with heavy fire through the roof of the structure which was attached to a Days Inn Hotel. With the hotel being attached and under heavy smoke conditions, the 2nd alarm was quickly struck and an evacuation of the hotel was ordered. Ladder 65 (Moore III)  made a response with a crew of 6 along with the command vehicle. Upon orders from the Incident Commander, crews threw ladders on the fire building and ventilated the hotel. The fire was placed under control shortly after but an extensive overhaul was required and more ventilation was needed throughout the hotel. Ladder 65 was released around 0530 hours.
